Coronavirus In India Mock Drill In December 27 States Prepared


Coronavirus In India: In view of the increasing cases of Kovid-19 in many countries, the central government is constantly monitoring and giving guidelines to the states in this regard. On the other hand, in view of the increasing threat of corona in the world, the government has decided to conduct mock drills in hospitals across the country on Tuesday (December 27) for its preparation. In this regard, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has given instructions to the states by writing a letter.

In a letter written by the Union Health Ministry, it was clarified that keeping in view the increasing number of corona cases in the world, it is necessary that all states and union territories take necessary public health measures to deal with any emergency. Preparedness of COVID-19 health facilities is critical to ensure that states are prepared to meet medical care needs as cases increase.

These parameters will be taken care of in the mock drill

  • There should be geographical availability of health facilities covering all the districts.
  • Bed capacity such as isolation ward/bed, isolation bed with oxygen support, ICU bed and ventilator supported bed.
  • Doctors, nurses, paramedics, AYUSH doctors and other frontline workers, including ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, for medical treatment.
  • The number and capacity of Corona Test Laboratory, availability of RT-PCR RT-PCR and RAT kits, availability of testing equipment and reagents will be seen.
  • Things like essential medicines, ventilators, BIPAP, SPO systems, PPE kits and N-95 masks will also be seen.
  • Whether oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders, PSA plants, liquid medical oxygen storage tanks, medical gas pipeline systems are up and running, it will also be seen.

Center will have to give information
These mock drills will be done in consultation with the concerned District Collectors/District Magistrates, State/Union and Territory Health Department officials. It will be necessary to do drill in every district of every state. The state government will have to share its information with the central government.
